Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's  growing data science team in a business that is disrupting the industry. In this role, you will focus on developing machine learning models to deliver their product roadmap.


What you will be doing:

• Develop a range of machine learning models via the full lifecycle process {business understanding, feature engineering, prototyping, training, evaluation}

• Work with the engineering team to deploy accepted models

• Create presentations that tell the story of these models, utilizing visualizations

• Work collaboratively with the engineering, platform, product, and wider business teams

• Work within a DataOps framework

What you must have:

• You are comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity and can demonstrate the ability to change and adapt as our business scales

• You have a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or similar (Masters or Ph.D. an advantage)

• You have a strong understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning

• Strong experience in developing ML models in Python

• Experience in developing ML models in a fully Spark environment is an advantage

• Experience in PySpark is an advantage (but it’s a great opportunity to learn if not)

• Experience in using version control software (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, etc.) is an advantage

• Experience in IDE-based (as opposed to notebook-based) development is an advantage

• You are structured in code development and annotation, ensuring usability for others

• You have sound interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with others

• You have excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills, with a well-structured and analytical approach

• You are highly commercially aware, particularly in prioritizing time

Salary/Rate Range: $125,000 - $150,000
