Overview:
PA/NP: One (1) Weekend Monthly Hospitalist provides care for hospitalized patients on Friday, (5:00 pm) through Monday, (07:00 am). Collaborating with physicians and other staff to manage patient admissions, treatments, and discharges. This part-time (one-weekend monthly role requires excellent clinical judgment, communication, and adaptability to ensure seamless patient care across the weekend transition. The One (1) Weekend Monthly Hospitalist PA/NP is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered medical care to inpatients. They will manage a panel of patients, perform rounds, and handle new admissions and discharges. 

What you will be doing:
Clinical care

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history and physical examinations.

• Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests, laboratory work, and imaging studies.

• Develop, implement, and adjust patient treatment plans in consultation with the supervising physician.

• Prescribe medications and other therapies within the scope of practice.

• Perform medical procedures as credentialed, which may include IV access, wound care, and other basic procedures.

• Manage patient admissions from the emergency department and handle discharges. 

• The daily census is 5 to 12 patients per day.
• Must have Acute Care experience.
