Overview:
Our client is seeking an Account Executive with a strong background in the electrical power industry to join their growing sales team. The ideal candidate is a proven hunter with experience generating new business opportunities, while also maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. This role requires technical fluency in areas such as electrical maintenance, safety, and power systems, paired with a drive to achieve and exceed sales goals.


What you will be doing:

  • Execute inside sales activities including outbound calls, daily prospecting, and lead generation

  • Develop new business opportunities while retaining and expanding existing customer accounts

  • Pursue and close sales opportunities to meet and exceed annual quota

  • Partner with marketing to enhance customer outreach, follow-up with prior customers, and develop growth strategies

  • Represent the company with professionalism, tact, and diplomacy at all times

  • Attend select trade shows and customer visits (limited overnight travel)

  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records within CRM systems


What you must have:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience in the electrical power industry (electrical maintenance, safety, or related fields required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)

  • Demonstrated success in new business development (hunter mentality)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

  • Working knowledge or hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

     

  • Substations

  • Circuit breakers

  • Relays

  • Power cables

  • Transformers

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team


Salary/Rate Range: $50,000 – $60,000

Other Information:
Travel Requirements

  • Occasional travel for trade shows and customer visits

  • Typical trips are 2–3 business days, planned 1–2 weeks in advance
