What you will be doing:

• Be the owner of an ever-increasing multi-terabyte dataset and develop processes and software to process, maintain, and govern it.

• Lead the data engineering team by mentoring team members, reviewing code, removing blockers, and managing projects.

• Act as an individual contributor for all data projects.

• Build data pipelines and tools, for ETL, ML, and AI.

• Architect and implement data infrastructure to increase performance and lower cost.

• Work closely with the product team to identify areas where data can drive product and business decisions.

What you must have:

• Excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

• At least 6 years experience as a software engineer and 3 as a data engineer.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as computer science or engineering.

• Experience with large datasets and governance

• Experience with building data infrastructure in AWS (IaC a plus)

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)

• Experience with React, Pandas, and Apache Spark (or similar)

• Experience with Postgres, Athena, and Redshift (or similar)

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Familiarity with MRF/Health Insurance data is a plus

• Experience designing secure software, including HIPAA and SOC2-compliant systems a plus
