Overview:
You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build and test applications for the financial services industry. As a Test Engineer, you'll leverage your programming skills to develop comprehensive test automation frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines while working across React frontend and Python backend components. You will contribute to quality initiatives through automated testing, leveraging modern tools including AI coding assistants, while collaborating closely with developers to ensure robust, well-tested solutions from development through to production deployment.


What you will be doing:

  • Participate and contribute in all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrums and retrospectives
  • Design and implement comprehensive test automation frameworks for React frontend and Python backend applications
  • Create and maintain automated tests for REST APIs, web applications, and AWS cloud services
  • Develop and execute performance testing strategies using appropriate tools and frameworks
  • Work collaboratively with developers and product owners to define test coverage and acceptance criteria
  • Implement continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
  • Build and maintain test infrastructure and environments in AWS
  • Create and maintain test data management solutions
  • Identify and implement testing metrics and quality gates
  • Perform code reviews of test automation code
  • Contribute to overall quality improvement initiatives and testing best practices
  • Monitor and report on test coverage, execution results, and quality metrics

What you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation engineering
  • Experience working in agile cross-functional teams
  • Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with modern test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright)
  • Experience leveraging AI coding assistants and LLMs to improve code quality, accelerate development, and implement best practices
  • Proven experience testing REST APIs and web applications
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
  • Solid understanding of test automation best practices and patterns
  • Proficiency with version control systems (Git)
  • Experience with test management tools (JIRA, Xray)
  • Working knowledge of REST APIs, messaging systems, and databases
  • Familiarity with AWS services and cloud testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration mindset
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently
  • Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
