About the Role

The Technical Territory Representative will be responsible for managing and growing a defined regional customer base by providing expert technical support, application guidance, and sales leadership for a range of process instrumentation solutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency while achieving territory growth targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing technical and commercial support.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from lead generation to order fulfillment, ensuring alignment with revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence within the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Inside Sales, Engineering, and Business Development) to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Provide technical training and product presentations to clients.
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and product issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic sales initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate reporting of activities, expenses, and forecasts.
  • Participate in product or process improvement initiatives as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related technical discipline (C.Tech or C.E.T designation preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales or instrumentation-focused role within the process or industrial sector.
  • Strong understanding of process control equipment and measurement technologies.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the territory (greater Edmonton).
