One of the worlds most recognized brands, operating in over 200 countries and territories, committed to sustainability, innovation and reducing environmental impact, is looking to add to their dynamic team.You will take the lead in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all plant utilities and mechanical systems. This includes boilers, ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, water treatment, and related equipment that support daily production. You’ll oversee preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate with plant leadership to implement process improvements and capital upgrades. The position also involves supervising a team of skilled tradespeople and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What you will be doing:

• Manage the daily operation and maintenance of plant systems including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, compressed air, CO2, nitrogen, and water distribution.

• Conduct routine inspections, performance monitoring, and documentation in line with regulatory and company standards.

• Lead and coach a team of operating engineers and maintenance staff, setting performance expectations and ensuring compliance with safety procedures.

• Support energy conservation initiatives focused on reducing gas, water, and electricity usage.

• Participate in site safety programs, including confined space and ammonia safety management.

• Collaborate with Maintenance and Plant Managers on equipment upgrades and capital projects.

• Ensure systems are optimized for efficiency and reliability through proactive maintenance and operational improvements.

What you must have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a 2nd Class Engineer, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.

• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment; food or beverage experience preferred.

• Valid 2nd Class Operating Engineer license (TSSA or equivalent).

• Strong technical knowledge of boilers, pressure vessels, and ammonia refrigeration systems.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and plant data recording systems.

• Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Salary/Rate Range: $115,000 - $125,000
