Overview:
Our government client in Regina, SK is looking for an Enterprise Architect for a 12+ month contract to start, with possible extensions, reference #C19003695. This position is preferred to be local to the Regina area but candidates can be remote located anywhere in Canada.
What you will be doing:
Our client is currently looking for one (1) Enterprise Architect Resource to provide enterprise-level architectural oversight and leadership across multiple IT initiatives within IT Capital and Enterprise Architecture Team. The Successful Supplier will play a key role in shaping technology strategy, aligning projects to roadmaps, and ensuring the successful delivery of integrated IT solutions across various departments and business domains.

Coach and advise domain and solution architects.

Collaborate with existing teams to enhance architectural maturity.

Develop and provide best practices, standards, and methods to optimize architecture processes.
-
Contribute to domain roadmaps with a focus on infrastructure-related solutions.

Assist in the operations of the Architecture Review Board.

Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective Information Technology solutions.
-
Define architecture templates and standards.
-
Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Provide project support to manage the implementation of various IT Capital projects.

Ensure integration with existing systems and alignment with business goals.

Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution blueprints.

Support risk management and compliance requirements.
-
Participate in vendor evaluations and technology selection.
What you must have:
-
Have a minimum of five (5) years proven experience working as an Enterprise Architect, supporting IT Capital projects, aligning projects with the overall organizational roadmap and strategy, and supporting integrated work plans or a similar role.

Possess either: a master’s degree in Systems Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science; or a bachelor’s degree in a related Enterprise Architecture or Information Technology field, along with three (3) additional years experience (in addition to the required five (5) years) working as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role.

Have a minimum of one (1) year proven experience as a Solution Architect supporting infrastructure-related projects, including but not limited to migrations, storage, and capacity upgrades.

Possess The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) certification.

Possess Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Expert knowledge of:

Creating architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

Aligning technology initiatives with long-term business goals and transformation strategies.
-
Business models, financial drivers, and how IT can create competitive advantage.
-
Networking, storage, cloud platforms, virtualization, and security architecture and how they all connect.

Leading IT Capital planning processes, including the evaluation, prioritization, and selection of technology projects based on strategic alignment, business value, and risk.

Collaborating and managing senior-level executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
-
Evaluating trade-offs and making architecture decisions under uncertainty.
Extensive experience with:

Leading or contributing to large infrastructure projects or solution deployments.

Physical and virtual server architectures, Data Domain, Isilon, storage backups, and highavailability configurations.

Greenfield, virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.

Critical, constructive and creative problem-solving skills that involve issue identification, development of objectives, development of an action plan overseeing what needs to done, while identifying the resources required to ensure quality products.

Information management, logic modeling, conceptual, business process, and workflow design.

Requirements gathering, analysis, plan, design, develop, implement and maintain Data Management systems.
