Overview:
A well-established, globally recognized organization in the electrical safety and maintenance training space is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale a high-performing training institute. This role will oversee the development, delivery, and expansion of a diversified portfolio of electrical safety and maintenance training programs delivered through in-person, virtual, and eLearning formats. The Director will be responsible for operational excellence, product vision, content strategy, revenue growth, and ensuring world-class learning experiences for students across North America and globally. This is a strategic leadership role combining operational oversight, product development, revenue growth, and industry credibility.

What you will be doing:
Product Strategy & Innovation

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive content and product strategy aligned to revenue, engagement, and retention goals

  • Set product vision and roadmap for expanding and modernizing training offerings

  • Drive innovation in delivery methods, technology adoption, and curriculum expansion

  • Expand product offerings through internal growth initiatives and potential acquisitions

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee logistical planning, coordination, and scheduling of in-person, virtual, and eLearning training programs

  • Ensure instructor availability, compliance, and optimal resource utilization

  • Maintain the highest quality standards across all product offerings

  • Develop and lead a team of product champions to ensure timely and accurate delivery

Financial & Business Alignment

  • Own operational budgeting, including labor, overhead, and product investment planning

  • Develop new revenue streams with clear ROI focus

  • Partner with Sales leadership to align business development strategy, pricing, market positioning, and growth initiatives

  • Collaborate on host-site partnerships and training agreements

Executive & Stakeholder Communication

  • Present growth plans, product innovation initiatives, and acquisition strategies to executive leadership and board-level stakeholders

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors


What you must have:

  • 5–8+ years of experience in content development, operations, production, training leadership, or related technical environments

  • Demonstrated experience managing training logistics and scheduling efficiencies

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Working knowledge of sales and marketing fundamentals (pricing strategy, cohort targeting, customer lifetime value, inventory planning)

  • Basic understanding of accounting and budgeting principles

  • Strong electrical and safety knowledge (required)

Salary/Rate Range: $100,000 – $135,000 base (flexibility for exceptional experience)
