Overview:
Our client is seeking a Licensed Dentist to provide dental services for our individuals. Licensure and required certification: Current State of Texas Dental License and Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain during Orientation. All applicants must pass pre-employment drug screen, fingerprint criminal background check, and Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Employee Misconduct Registry and Nurse/Aide Registry checks. Candidate will be required to attend facility training which can be up to two weeks, Monday through Friday, 8-5. Work schedule will be 1-3 mornings a week to do Examinations and 2 days out of the month for TIVA.


What you will be doing:

• The Dentist is responsible for providing dental services for individuals living at the Supported Living Center and certain identified individuals living in community-based settings, including advanced dental care and treatment to elevate the oral hygiene of all individuals.
• The Dentist is responsible for implementing the best and safest practices in treatment.
• Provide timely and accurate charting of clinical encounters using our electronic medical and dental records of the residents with intellectual disabilities.
• Written treatment plan with justification of irreversible dental treatments.

• Must be licensed as a dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.
• Must have a current unrestricted registration certificate from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA).
• Must possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI#). 
• Must complete facility and HHSC required training
• Dentist must be proficient in computers/electronic health records.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills, be organized, and be able to present information.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
