Overview:
We are seeking a Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's Austin branch. This role is ideal for an experienced geotechnical professional who is looking to contribute technically while continuing to grow within a collaborative and quality-driven environment. The successful candidate will support geotechnical engineering design, analysis, and project execution across a variety of commercial, infrastructure, and development projects. You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, field technicians, and clients to deliver high-quality technical solutions that meet project scope, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
What you will be doing:

Perform geotechnical analysis and design including shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, earth retention, and settlement evaluations

Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports, lot letters, and field recommendations

Interpret subsurface exploration data including borings, laboratory results, and in-situ testing

Conduct site visits and attend client and project meetings as needed

Support proposal preparation including technical scopes and cost estimates

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely deliverables

Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and maintaining project profitability

Maintain strong client relationships through clear and professional communication

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
What you must have:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe

4–6 years of experience in geotechnical engineering

Experience with foundation design, earthwork recommendations, and soil classification
-
Working knowledge of ASTM standards and construction materials testing
-
Ability to analyze geotechnical data and prepare clear, concise technical reports
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and geotechnical software (e.g., boring log programs, slope stability, settlement, and deep foundation analysis software)

Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software preferred

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
