Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech)
Location: Oregon
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to play a vital role in the operating room. In this position, you will be at the center of the surgical team, ensuring every procedure runs smoothly, safely, and with precision.
Your expertise in maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgical needs, and supporting the team will directly impact patient outcomes and surgical success.
What You Will Do
Surgical Support & Sterile Technique

Function as the scrub person during operative and invasive procedures

Prepare and organize sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment

Maintain a sterile field at all times and take corrective action when needed

Anticipate surgeon and team needs, providing instruments and supplies efficiently

Assist with sterile draping and preparation of surgical sites
Procedure Coordination

Perform instrument, sponge, and supply counts with the RN circulator

Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning

Prepare sterile dressings and assist during all phases of the procedure
Room & Equipment Management

Clean and prepare instruments for decontamination and sterilization

Assist with room turnover, ensuring readiness for the next patient

Maintain an organized and efficient surgical environment
Professional Practice & Compliance

Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and dignity at all times

Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and DNV requirements

Support hospital mission, values, policies, and safety standards
What You Bring
Education
-
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
Certifications
-
BLS required
-
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
-
CRASE training preferred (required if assignment exceeds 6 months)
Experience & Strengths

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures

Ability to stay focused, organized, and composed in a fast-paced OR environment
