Base Salary Range: $80000 - $110000
On behalf of our client, one of BC's Top Employers for 2026, TEEMA is seeking a Construction & Commercial Litigation, Paralegal.
We are currently seeking a Construction/Commercial Litigation Paralegal to support their busy Construction and Commercial Litigation practice groups. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience working in a Canadian law firm, be energetic, flexible, highly motivated and driven to succeed.
Duties of the Position:
• Providing supportive role in all aspects of multi-party, document-intensive construction and engineering files
• Providing supportive role with commercial litigation overflow files
• Drafting correspondence, preparing chronologies, and court documents including pleadings, lists of documents, and chambers applications
• Conducting factual research, analyzing issues of client and party documents, drafting legal research memos
• Retaining and instructing experts and organizing key documents for review
• Managing examination for discovery, mediation, and trial preparation and support activity
• Managing eDiscovery databases from creation to conclusion, and performing document review and other document related tasks
• Collecting client’s documents and electronic data in conjunction with the litigation support department
• Assisting with drafting legal hold notices for clients and other parties
• Maintaining chain of custody documents and procedures
• Coding documents in eDiscovery databases for objective information
• Conducting eDiscovery database searches, facilitating document review sessions with lawyers and coordinating productions to external parties
• Ensure compliance with litigation support and eDiscovery best practices, including quality control measures, Firm best practice protocols and quality assurance checks
The Ideal Candidate will have:
• A paralegal certificate from an accredited institution with experience working in a Canadian law firm
• 3+ years of experience in litigation within construction and exposure to commercial and civil fraud claims
• Knowledge and experience with the eDiscovery process
• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle a high volume of active matters
• Proficient technical skills including NetDocs, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and eDiscovery software, preferably RelativityOne
• Excellent written (grammar, spelling, proofreading) and verbal communication skills
• Commitment to providing first-rate level of knowledge and prompt quality service to clients and internal stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively and respond appropriately
• High level organizational skills with a strong attention to detail to produce quality and accurate work
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a contributing member in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks by deadline, work calmly under pressure and manage high volume of work in a fast-paced environment with multiple lawyers
• Solid decision-making and problem-solving skills coupled with a willingness to learn and to adapt to changing demands
• Proven ability to be resourceful, take initiative and be proactive, as well as follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines

Compensation + Benefits
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 annually+
