What you will be doing:

• Design and develop common electrical designs as per customer and project requirements based on standard Eclipse methods

• Provide electrical assistance during the various stages of integration

• Select, test and integrate hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers

• Perform engineering calculations such as power calculation, short-circuit current rating, and panel heat loss/cooling

• Take ownership of electrical design deliverables for key project components, with the opportunity to influence design decisions and standards

• Collaborate cross-functionally with controls engineers, mechanical designers, and customers to deliver fully integrated automation solutions

• Grow with us: This role is designed as a pathway to an Electrical Design Lead position, with opportunities to expand your technical expertise, lead design initiatives, and take on greater responsibility over time.

• Learn from experienced engineers and technical leaders while expanding your expertise in electrical design, safety standards, and automation systems

• Work on a variety of custom automation projects, each with unique technical challenges and customer requirements

What you must have:

• A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems or computer engineering.

• 5-7 years of Electrical Design Experience is preferred.

• Experience with EPLAN is an asset. 

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

• A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

• Experience in an automation environment will be considered an asset

Salary/Rate Range: $37.00 - $50.00 / hr
