What you will be doing:

Draft and prepare RFI/RFQ/RFP and contract documents for assigned projects. Conduct comparison and analysis of responses, provide and implement recommended strategies to ensure optimal results, and oversee these arrangements through to final completion of the work.

Manage contracts and process amendments to ensure compliance and alignment with business objectives.

Assist in coordinating and facilitating contracts negotiation.

Support negotiations with suppliers on pricing, delivery schedules, performance guarantees, liquidated damages, and general terms and conditions.

Identify and recommend appropriate contract language based on project requirements and risk assessments.

Research and resolve contractual issues, negotiating with internal and external partners

Ensure accurate implementation of legal, HSE, cybersecurity, compliance, insurance, credit, tax, and finance requirements in contracts.

Analyze and identify potential issues and opportunities to improve standard contract documents and SCM processes.

Develop contracts that are complete, structured for easy administration, and mitigate risks.

Update contract documents to address any shortcomings or weaknesses.

Foster strong relationships with key support areas (e.g., legal, insurance, credit, HSE) and internal service groups.
What you must have:
-
Post-secondary degree in business, technical, legal, supply chain management, or a related field.

Education equivalency may be considered.

5+ years in supply chain management, commercial management, or equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of contract principles, structure, and language.

Proficiency in contract law, understanding of electric
-
power industry contracting practices, and working
-
knowledge of engineering principles related to civil,
-
mechanical, electrical, controls, and IT systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,SharePoint), and PDF editing tools.

Familiarity with risk management skills and tools.

Oracle E-Business Suite, or similar ERP system knowledge

Demonstrate strong reading, writing, and listening skills with the ability to produce clear written documents and edit others' work effectively.
