Overview:
Our government client in Regina, SK is looking for several Project Coordinators for a 7-month contract to start, with an option for extensions, reference #C19004265. Candidates must reside in the province of Saskatchewan as there will be regular travel.
What you will be doing:
Our client is currently looking for up to two (2) Project Coordinator resources to support the coordination of the IT infrastructure and technical requirements of multiple major capital construction and renovation-based projects. The Project Coordinator’s responsibilities will include supporting multiple complex projects simultaneously, with many stakeholders and many complex needs. The Project Coordinator will report to the Manager and will support all aspects of project coordination. This is a highly visible, busy, and challenging role that will be focused on supporting major and minor Facility Capital projects.

Overall Project Coordination of IMIT scope.

Facilitation and coordination of multiple stakeholders through design and construction to meet a desired scope, budget and timeline.

Project planning including scope development and project scheduling.

Manage and track the procurements for IMIT equipment and services.
-
IMIT budget development and management throughout project lifecycle.

Project budget planning, tracking and forecasting.
-
Project documentation control.
-
Issue management, escalation and tracking.
-
Decision making support and tracking.
-
On site coordination and support.
-
Meeting coordination, planning and documentation.
-
Work closely with project/program management teams to successfully scope prospective projects.

Coordinate reviews, including end-user reviews and systems technical performance reviews, to confirm and validate requirements.
What you must have:
-
Possesses a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Engineering, or Computer Science.

Possesses five (5) years previous experience supporting IT infrastructure in major and minor capital construction projects.

Possesses a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification.

Minimum of five (5) years experience in managing IT projects within the healthcare sector.
Rated Resource Qualifications/Requirements
The proposed Resource should have the following qualifications and have experience fulfilling the following job requirements:

Possesses advanced communication skills and has proven their capability to translate complex technical solutions into business focused language
-
Previous experience in managing IT software or infrastructure projects with distributed teams and matrixed operational resources with budgets more than $2M and staff compliment exceeding five (5) FTEs;

Previous experience driving project management in a busy, enterprise scaled environment with multiple interfaced systems, and established development/test/production/train environment management practices and organizational change control gates. Healthcare/data analytics or information technology setting preferred;

Advanced computer skills, including but not limited to MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio), including developing presentations, reports and documentation using all MS Office Suite program, and a strong aptitude to be detail oriented, analyze data and develop advanced reports in Excel;

Strong project planning and estimating skills with the ability to create and manage work breakdown structures (WBS);

Proven track record at establishing and maintaining excellent interpersonal relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including well-developed oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate information using plain language;

Knowledge of IT support environment processes and the use of information systems applications preferred, including the ability to quickly grasp and understand technical concepts and systems and experience in working collaboratively with IT and non-IT stakeholders;

Excellent multi-tasking, facilitation, troubleshooting, time management, problem solving, risk management, and customer service skills;

Proven ability to work independently, or within a team in a fast pace and at times unstructured environment with changing priorities;
-
Strong ability to prioritize and pre-plan, recognize resourcing needs, coordinate people and activities, recognize trends, and work effectively within a team environment;

Good understanding of IT architecture and standards;

Familiarity with recent IT platforms and methodologies in use and understand how the projects are going to meet those needs; and

Previous experience in organizational change management across large organizations impacting hundreds of staff..
