Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and manage financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, and compilations for clients across a variety of sectors, including for-profit, non-profit, governmental, and ERISA engagements. This role involves planning, budgeting, and overseeing assurance engagements while fostering client relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
What you will be doing:
- Managing financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects.
- Supervising engagement teams and overseeing budgets.
- Leading engagement staff through all stages of the audit or assurance process.
- Reporting to engagement leaders on timelines, identified issues, job statuses, and budget goals.
- Preparing financial statements, footnote disclosures, compliance reports, and client communications.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying additional service opportunities.
- Communicating proactively with clients to ensure timely engagement completion.
- Identifying and implementing new accounting and auditing standards.
- Collaborating with firm leadership to oversee assurance team performance.
- Evaluating team member performance and providing growth opportunities.
- Leading training initiatives and identifying areas for team development.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
What you must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- CPA certification required.
- 5+ years of audit experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
- Expert knowledge of financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Proficiency in GAAP and GAAS standards (GAS experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and audit software.
- Ability to train and mentor team members across skill levels.
Salary/Rate Range:
$80,000 - $125,000 per year (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.)
