Objective:
An ideal candidate is a sales-oriented mechanical or electrical engineer or technically capable individual who likes to share their knowledge with our customers; a people person,-skilled hunter who improves constantly and doesn't give up when challenges become more difficult than expected.
What you will be doing:

Manage relationships with customers by staying in touch and actively responding to their needs

Analyze client's technical needs, with an understanding of their process and operations

Identify opportunities and develop technical solutions to meet customer's needs and requirements
-
Articulate product characteristics and our key differentiators on the market
-
Work closely with the design and manufacturing team to improve customers' experience
-
Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers, and planning and organizing sales call schedules.
-
Travel to companies and businesses to sell metering equipment for mechanical and electrical uses.
-
Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.

Perform product demonstrations, installations, and application support.

Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.

Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers in person or by phone.

Take orders and get signed proposals

Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of the manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.

Arrange for repairs as needed.

Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.

Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.

Aid in preparing cost estimates by gathering blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.

Determines improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in customer environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services.

Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff; costing engineering changes.

Develops customer's staff by providing technical information and training.

Complies with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; advising customer on product, service, or equipment adherence to requirements; advising customer on needed actions.

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives.

Responsible for the completion of Operating Services Agreements.
What you must have:

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar sales role

Technical aptitude

Ability to define customer specifications and needs to specify and quote an engineered product

Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to present a professional and positive image.

Advanced written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented and very organized.

Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Rate Range: $100,000 - $111,000
