Overview:
A large-scale enterprise initiative within the public sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Agile-based projects across administrative applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can drive timelines, manage technical teams, and ensure high-impact deliverables while navigating the state’s project delivery framework. This hybrid opportunity is based in Austin, TX, with partial remote flexibility for qualified local candidates.


What you will be doing:

  • Managing enterprise application projects using Agile (Scrum) practices

  • Leading planning, documentation, execution, and oversight of key initiatives

  • Collaborating with development teams to align deliverables with business goals

  • Developing project charters, work plans, and weekly status updates

  • Tracking project progress using Agile tools and methodologies

  • Identifying risks and roadblocks; ensuring resolution and escalation when needed

  • Supporting the creation and validation of SDLC artifacts and translating business needs into technical deliverables

  • Engaging stakeholders through effective communication and presentation

  • Serving as a bridge between business and IT teams, facilitating clarity and transparency

  • Supporting on-call or extended hours as needed during project phases


What you must have:

  • 8+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise-level implementations

  • 8+ years of experience working in or with public sector or similar federal/state environments

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies

  • Proven experience in both project management and hands-on development roles

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills


Nice to have:

  • PMP certification strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with Texas Project Delivery Framework

  • Experience with Salesforce projects and Agile/Scrum environments

  • Understanding of state-level procurement and contracting processes

  • Experience using Jira and other Agile project tracking tools
