Overview:
Our client in Winnipeg, MB is looking for several Business Architect resources for a 10+ month contract to start with the possibility of extensions, reference 216-0525. The position can be remote, located anywhere in Canada, but occasional on-site visits may be required.
What You Will Be Doing:
Capture the Solution Inventory
-
Identify all MBLL solutions, applications, platforms, and tools which represent the Gaming & Entertainment ecosystem

Document the description of each component’s purpose, functionality, and integration points within the ecosystem
-
Document the most likely break (failure) points for each component (e.g., system failure, data discrepancies, vendor escalations, unsupported software, business continuity concerns, etc.)
Identify Role and Responsibility Assignments

Identify the primary MBLL business owner(s) for each component
-
Identify the ITS support contact/team
-
Document any third-party vendor involvement (and current licensing model if applicable)
-
Identify incident escalation paths (level 1, 2, 3, etc.)
-
Define the role responsible for addressing failure points cataloged across each component
-
Document all risks associated with ambiguity in roles and responsibilities
Depict the Ecosystem
-
Create visual diagrams/maps
-
Highlight interdependencies of the components
Develop the RACI Matrix
-
Build a detailed RACI matrix outlining the stakeholders who are Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed for each component
-
Include roles across the different MBLL business units: ITS, Gaming & Entertainment, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, etc.
Perform Sponsor-level Reporting
-
Participate in scheduled status update meetings to report progress, updates, and any obstacles to the Initiative Sponsor for this work
Perform Executive-level Summary and Reporting

Prepare a high-level summary for presentation to MBLL Executive Committee members

Enable Executive visibility into solution ownership, accountability gaps, and risk areas
Responsibilities
-
Document current state, define future state and determine the activities required to move from current to the future state for a set or processes and / or business and technical requirements.

Identify project stakeholders and determine the impact of implementing technology and automation to business areas and staffing levels.

Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed systems
-
Prepare and present reports, recommendations, or alternatives to senior and executive level management
-
Perform objective analysis of organizational challenges and related efficiency opportunities
-
Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to Solution Architects and the project team
-
Develop models that provide the mechanism to clearly explain how strategy, processes, business structure, and staff can best be utilized to delivery reliable and cost-effective operations.

Create future state business process models that defines future activities, roles, and changes to organizational structure in support of the change.

Using critical, objective and established analytical approach, framework and models, identify areas where efficiencies and cost savings opportunities can be achieved.

Develop business unit and staff roles and responsibilities in support of business and IT operational requirements.

Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to technical subject matter experts and teams.
-
Develop new procedures for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
-
Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support.

Perform cost-benefit and return on investment (ROI) analyses for proposed changes to support management in making implementation decisions.

Identify and establish scope and parameters of process analysis to define impact, outcome criteria, and measure-taking actions.
What you must have:
-
Completion of a recognized degree or diploma program in the field of computer science, business administration or information systems or equivalent combination of experience, education and certification
-
A minimum of ten (10) years Information Technology related experience.
-
A minimum of five (5) years domain experience in business analysis, systems analysis, and process analysis.
-
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
-
Experience in creating systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language.
-
Experience leading small teams.
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills, meeting facilitation, and influencing
-
Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products is an asset.
-
Industry credentials in Business Analysis and/or Architecture Frameworks are considered an asset.
-
Project Management training is an asset.
-
Experience in, or knowledge of, gaming, retail or distribution industries is an asset
Additional Requirements
-
Must have Windows laptop with standard Windows applications.
-
Laptop must be configured for Microsoft Teams meetings and capable of connecting to MBLL’s Microsoft 365 environment and applications such as Teams, Sharepoint, and OneDrive.

A Canadian based federal security clearance is considered an asset
