What you will be doing:

  • Evaluate current services and recommend gaps.

  • Research and evaluate latest technology trends.

  • Develop strategy documents and roadmaps.

  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and playbooks.

  • Develop and monitor adoption metrics and analyze KPIs.

  • Develop and implement community engagement plans.

  • Establish mechanisms for collecting user feedback.

  • Design and deliver user training programs.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials to support end-users and IT staff in using and administering solutions.

  • Provide support to both business and IT teams in identifying and addressing problems.

  • Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, facilitating clear communication.

  • Review new service and technology requests by business areas and assess their impact on the operational environment, giving recommendations for remediation.

  • Assist in creating mockups, wireframes, or process models to visualize solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on proof of concept and pilot rollouts.

  • Work with stakeholders (business users, managers, etc.) to understand business processes, goals, and challenges.

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.

  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications that can be understood by IT teams.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design services and solutions that meet business needs.

  • Ensure that the proposed solutions are feasible from both a business and technical perspective.

  • Create documentation that explains the solution designs, architecture, and integrations.

  • Ensure seamless integration of digital solutions with existing systems.

  • Work alongside project managers to help define scope, milestones, and timelines.

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and estimates pertaining to architectural deployment and services delivery.

  • Assist in developing task lists and resource assignments within the context of architectural planning and deployments.

  • Make recommendations to project team members pertaining to issues, risks, and client satisfaction.

  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that the system meets business requirements and functions properly.

  • Provide quality control on production implementations.

  • Develop and implement solutions both individually and as a member of the team.

  • Ensure change management processes are followed.

  • Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required.


What you must have:

  • Mandatory University graduation in business, management or a related discipline and four-year Project Coordinator experience; OR  Two-year diploma in business, management or a related discipline and six-year Project Coordinator experience; OR One-year certificate in business, management or a related discipline and seven-year Project Coordinator experience; OR Eight-year Project Coordinator experience

  • Mandatory 3 years Experience as a business analyst translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements in an enterprise IT environment.

  • Mandatory 3 years Experience as a project coordinator leading technical teams in multiple implementation and execution of information technology projects in an environment of similar size and complexity to the Government of Alberta

  • Mandatory 3 years Experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements.

  • Mandatory 3 years Proven experience as a Microsoft 365 specialist with deep expertise in its user-facing apps. Demonstrated ability to work closely with business area clients to build solutions that leverage Microsoft 365 to enhance productivity, collaboration, and business outcomes.
