Overview:
Our client is seeking a Data Solutions Developer / DBA to join their team in a full-time capacity. This hybrid role is ideal for a collaborative professional with a balanced background in SQL Server administration and modern data solutions development. The successful candidate will design, secure, and optimize database environments while also supporting data engineering, analytics, and cloud-based initiatives.

What you will be doing:
Database Administration

• Install, configure, and manage on-premise and cloud-based SQL Server databases.

• Execute and monitor backup, restore, and disaster recovery operations.

• Implement and manage database access, roles, and security protocols.

• Monitor performance and tune databases for speed, reliability, and efficiency.

• Apply Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and manage replication strategies (snapshot, transactional, and merge).

Data Solutions Development

• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, and complex queries.

• Design and manage ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory and SSIS.

• Support analytics and reporting via Power BI and Azure Synapse.

• Utilize Python or R for data science and automation tasks.

• Work with cloud-native platforms like Azure SQL to build scalable solutions.

What you must have:
Skills/Tools

• SQL Server (2016–2022), Azure SQL

• Python, R

• Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Azure Synapse, Power BI

• Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)

• Snapshot, Transactional, Merge Replication

   

•  Experience administering and optimizing SQL databases.

Salary/Rate Range: $115,000 - $125,000
