Overview:
Our client has an immediate need for a Privacy Analyst on a 5- year contract (3-year initial + 2 x 1yr renewal), reference number RFR-0692, for their Regina, SK location. Note that the utilization for this role is expected to average 30 hours weekly. Candidates are preferred to be in the local area but remote candidates will be considered.


What you will be doing:

  • Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments;

  • Performing Privacy Maturity Model Assessments, if/when requested;

  • Providing guidance to the branch and its clients on privacy legislation and requirements;

  • Supporting breach responses for incidents involving privacy;

  • Conducting privacy focus groups and/or information sessions;

  • Liaise with Access and Privacy Officers to further strengthen maturity;

  • Creating and reviewing privacy policies and procedures, if/when necessary;

  • Preparing and delivering privacy training, if/when necessary; and

  • Other privacy-related tasks as determined through engagement in future initiatives.


What you must have:

  • Demonstrated experience of direct responsibility for the development and delivery of Privacy Impact Assessments for a complex and/or multi-system technology solution within the last 5 years.

  • Demonstrated working experience with Federal and Provincial privacy laws and requirements.These could include, though are not necessarily limited to, Saskatchewan’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and The Health Information Protection Act.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments at a Provincial and/or Federal government level.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing a privacy-by-design approach (or equivalent) to participating in the design and implementation of a solution.

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the design and assessment of solutions that include biometrics.

  • Demonstrated experience performing research and analysis used to inform recommendations to advance privacy protection.
