Overview:
The Communication Professional provides senior-level communication support and advice for project communication, change management, and stakeholder engagement involving medium profile and/or medium risk communication activities to support successful completion of assigned projects and initiatives safely, with quality, within budget, and on time.
What you will be doing:

Compose, write, and edit communication materials including newsletters, management reports, and presentations by using excellent skills in communication, planning, and implementation as well as good knowledge of project management principles to support assigned business groups at the company.

Lead communication planning for formal programs and projects, including developing required deliverables, providing progress reports, and presenting implementation plans to business leads, steering committees, and/or executive sponsors so that assigned projects and initiatives are successfully implemented as planned.

Create effective communication plans by using consultative methodologies and techniques including online platforms to accurately determine communication needs of the assigned project or initiative.

Act as subject matter expert by advising on communication and stakeholder relations best practices, models, standards, policies and procedures to help build communication capability at the company.

Collaborate with business teams in the company’s complex organization by using persuasive influence to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders so that projects and strategic initiatives are successfully completed.

Develop, manage, and implement all logistical requirements for external engagement events. This includes facilities bookings, catering, vehicle rental, set up/tear down.

Inventory management of event supplies

Develop and manage stakeholder lists

Track stakeholder enquiries and coordinate responses

Manage projects email inbox and voice mail
-
Coordinate all graphic design and digital communications requirements (website, online survey)

Support all aspects of project engagement, as required
What you must have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Business, Marketing or related discipline

Advanced skills in MS Office (Word and PowerPoint)

Intermediate MS Office skills in Excel
-
Advanced skills in document management systems such as SharePoint
-
Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
-
A background in graphic design (Important)
Good writing skills - experience in writing plans and summary reports -
Must be available for travel to all areas of the province

Must be able to work outside of regular office hours, as required
-
must have a sufficient level of physical fitness to lift/move heavy or awkward items (not exceeding 23 kg (50 lbs))
Salary/Rate Range: $38.00 -$45.00 per hour
Term: 12-month contract; most likely to extend
