What you will be doing:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and commercial regulations.

• Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of subcontractors for commercial projects.

• Ensure compliance with various regulatory conditions.

• Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

• Monitor subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Prepare and review subcontractor agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.

• Conduct regular site visits to monitor subcontractor work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

• Manage subcontractor invoicing and payment processes.

• Provide regular reports on subcontractor performance and project status to senior management.

• Exercise proper judgment to engage with Aecon’s legal advisors to seek advice at the appropriate times.

What you must have:

• 5-8 years’ experience supporting an industrial, engineering, nuclear or construction business.

• A Bachelor’s degree.

• In-depth knowledge of commercial construction contracting terms and regulations.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Familiarity with SAP and other project management software and tools.

• Previous experience working directly with multiple legal experts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.).
