Overview:
Our client is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director of Technology to accelerate the transformation of the company from a technology-enabled company to one that is technology-driven. This role will focus on putting technology at the heart of our business, using appropriate advanced tools, software and data to shape and deliver our services with nimble adoption of technological change while maintaining 100% integrity and reliability of the day-to-day IT systems that the company depends on.
Working in close partnership with the company's senior and functional departments leaders, the incumbent will lead the Business Technology team’s evolution such that it rapidly develops a focus on technology opportunities, aligning and prioritizing technology investments that meet our business and operational goals whether these be effectiveness and efficiency, or the development of sustainable competitive differentiators.

What you will be doing:
Technology Strategy & Leadership
  • Develop and execute evolving firm-wide integrated technology roadmaps that aligned with the company’s strategic and tactical objectives.
  • On an ongoing basis evaluate and triage emerging technologies and industry trends to inform forward-looking investments in digital tools and data management.
  • Champion the role of technology as a driver towards business success.
  • Develop fresh approaches to data governance that will facilitate the effective launch and adoption of new technologies.

Service Delivery Integration
  • Partner with Regional Directors and Discipline leaders to embed digital tools and workflows into project delivery processes.
  • Lead initiatives that differentiate the company’s services and enhance our trusted advisor status with clients through technology.
  • Establish feedback loops with technical teams to identify pain points and opportunities where technology can reduce friction, lower costs of delivery, and improve consistency, quality, and effectiveness.

Enterprise Systems Oversight
  • Oversee and optimize enterprise platforms (currently Microsoft stack, Deltek Vision, and UKG), ensuring integration around one source of the truth, usability, and business value.
  • Develop and implement a data strategy founded on cohesive governance and data usability.

IT
  • Oversee the company's core IT functions – network, hardware, cloud services, cybersecurity, end-used support, and disaster recovery to provide the core tools and service needed, minimize daily friction, and reducing the risk of business interruption to as low as reasonably achievable
  • Manage vendor relationships and technology contracts, balancing performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Team Development & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Develop and evolve the company's IT and BT teams focusing on core skill sets needed internally at a level of expertise that is functionally effective and focused on business impact
  • Supplement the internal team with value-add consultants and expertise
  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating and communicating complex digital transformation into business-relevant concepts.
  • Support change management and adoption of new tools, ensuring buy-in from service delivery teams and administrative functions.

What you must have:
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership, enterprise systems management, or business technology strategy, preferably within consulting, engineering, or professional services firms.
  • Proven track record of business and functional impact
  • Deep practical experience leveraging the Microsoft stack
  • Deep understanding of data architecture, systems integration, and enterprise-level software implementation.
  • Experience integrating digital tools into service delivery models and enabling client-facing innovation.
  • Strong project management skills with a history of successful cross-functional execution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills (i.e. must be able to lead through influence in a matrixed organization).
  • Experience working in a multi-office, distributed team environment preferred.
 Skills and Competencies
  • Energized by complexity and motivated to build lasting solutions.
  • Skilled at shifting between strategic vision and operational execution.
  • Invested in making the company a great place to work, using technology to help our team improve their performance and growth.
  • Relentless in simplifying systems to reduce friction and increase clarity.
  • Focused on using technology as a lever to improve how we serve clients, not just how we support operations internally.
  • Quick to establish credibility by virtue of your ideas, decision-making and delivery.
  • Curious, patient and willing to lean into servant leadership.

Salary/Rate Range: $160,000.00 - $200,000.00
