Overview:
Our client in Winnipeg, Manitoba is looking for a Solution Cloud Azure Architect resource for a 6+ month contract to start with the possibility of extensions, reference 225-0825. The position can be remote, located anywhere in Canada.
What you will be doing:
Our client is looking to engage a Senior Solution Cloud (Azure) Architect to perform review/gap analysis and development/implementation of governance and technologies to stand up Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environment.

Review existing landing zone architecture and setup

Review existing management groups, subscriptions, policies, access controls, network topology, security, resource and tag naming conventions, resource monitoring, logging capabilities

Identify missing gaps in the governance and landing zone implementation

Establishing and integrate VMWare in Azure with Azure
-
Establishing Zerto in Azure to integrate with Azure for Disaster Recovery

Establishing Resource/Cost management and monitoring in Azure
-
Establishing VPN connectivity with Expressroute a future consideration
What you must have:
-
Certified Azure Solutions Architect and additionally certified in one or both of the following:
-
Azure Network Engineer
-
Azure Security Engineer
-
Minimum of two projects where the candidate has led the governance, architecture/design, and implementation of a secure Azure landing zones.

Knowledge/experience with Infrastructure as Code
-
Excellent scripting skills in Powershell/others
-
Certified or demonstrated experience with VMWare
-
Experience with leveraging Azure for Disaster Recovery
-
Experience with Zerto is considered an asset
-
Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture
-
Excellent communication and writing skill
Additional Requirements
-
Experience in industries with regulatory or compliance requirements. Experience in public sector is an asset

Must have own MS Visio license.

Must have Windows laptop with standard Windows applications.

Laptop must be configured for Microsoft Teams meetings and capable of connecting to client Microsoft 365 environment and applications such as Teams, Sharepoint, and OneDrive.

All applicants must clear a background check.

A Canadian based federal security clearance is considered an asset

Must possess own communications device
