For more than 60 years, this organization has helped advance industry standards and promote safe work practices across utilities, manufacturing, and industrial sectors.The Manager, Technical Training and Instruction will oversee a team of professional instructors delivering technical training programs in electrical systems, power distribution, and safety compliance. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and operational management to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality training across multiple formats — classroom, virtual, and on-site.



What you will be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical instructors.

  • Foster an inclusive and professional learning culture for staff and students.

  • Oversee scheduling, instructional assignments, and classroom operations.

  • Ensure all training content aligns with current industry regulations and standards.

  • Collaborate with curriculum development teams to update and improve course materials.

  • Review course feedback to maintain instructional quality and consistency.

  • Manage resource allocation, travel approvals, and expense reports.

  • Conduct instructor evaluations and provide coaching for skill and performance improvement.

  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new instructional staff.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) during client consultations or technical discussions.

  • Step in as an instructor when coverage or technical expertise is required.

  • Partner with leadership to identify and implement new training and revenue opportunities.

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety practices and company procedures.

  • Travel up to 20% annually as needed to support remote training sites.



What you must have:

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical maintenance, power systems, or training delivery.

  • Prior leadership or management experience within a technical or educational setting.

  • Strong understanding of electrical equipment, substation systems, and safety compliance standards.

  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E/70B, IEEE, OSHA, NETA, and ANSI standards.

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain instructional quality.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel) and general LMS or scheduling tools.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support training operations.
