Overview
Our client, a long-established organization providing industry-leading electrical safety and maintenance training, is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop high-quality instructional and publication content. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure the technical accuracy and clarity of materials used in training programs for technicians, electricians, and engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys learning about technical subjects, contributing to safety education, and helping others develop a deeper understanding of electrical testing and maintenance practices.
What you will be doing:

Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather and validate content for course materials and publications.

Revise and update existing materials while creating new instructional content.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging documentation.

Research emerging industry developments to keep content current and accurate.

Work collaboratively with instructors, content designers, and graphic designers to deliver professional learning materials.

Ensure consistent voice, structure, and formatting across all written materials.
What you must have:

Proven experience developing technical or instructional content, ideally in an engineering, electrical, or industrial context.

Strong analytical and writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Excellent command of English (written and verbal).

Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office applications.

Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple deadlines.

Collaborative and proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What you must have:

Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline.

Native-level English proficiency.

Experience developing content related to electrical systems, maintenance practices, or safety training is highly preferred.
Salary/Rate Range: $60,000 - $70,000
