Overview:
Our client is partnered with an industry-leading Ag-Tech company that uses big data and machine learning technology that enables growers to manage pest and disease pressure, monitor climate conditions, and optimize water use through a combination of hardware sensors and software platforms. You are an experienced Applications Analyst with deep expertise in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, especially Business Central and D365 Field Service. You excel at optimizing financial and operational processes by configuring ERP platforms, designing workflows, and optimizing data flows across connected applications. In this role, you’ll help shape a Microsoft Dynamics applications ecosystem that supports finance, operations and field services functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, system alignment, and seamless workflow automation across ERP, and connected systems. Your work will span both strategic initiatives (such as implementations, data migrations, and process optimization), and ongoing sustenance and operational support.
What you will be doing:

Systems Analysis & Design
-
Partner with business stakeholders to analyze workflows, gather requirements, and translate them into functional and technical specifications for Microsoft Dynamics and integrated systems.

Maintain accurate documentation including data models, data field mappings, process flow and system architecture, and across ERP (D365 Business Central), Field Service (D365). and connected platforms.

Identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for optimization, including opportunities to leverage Power Platform, and AI-driven enhancements
Configuration & Integration

Configure and support D365 Business Central and D365 Field Service, ensuring seamless operations.

Build and maintain workflow automations using Power Automate and develop basic Power Apps to support business needs.

Manage configuration updates including workflows, approval processes, field-level changes, and operational logic to ensure consistent and reliable system behavior.

Administer security and access controls within Dynamics and Power Platform (roles, permissions, environment governance).
Data Migration & Reporting

Assist with data migration initiatives, ensuring accuracy, validation, and adherence to governance standards.

Build and maintain basic Power BI reports and dashboards and run SQL (or equivalent) queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across systems.
Testing, Support & Continuous Improvement

Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and release validation for new or enhanced functionality.

Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues across D365 Business Central, Field Service, and Power Platform workflows, including basic integration errors (e.g., failed runs, sync issues), and escalate complex problems to internal technical teams or vendors as needed.
What you must have:

5–7 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics experience, specifically configuration and implementation of D365 Business Central (ERP configuration, field service & inventory workflows, financial or operational modules) and D365 Field Service

Strong experience configuring workflows, processes, and operational logic within Dynamics.

Hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) or similar low-code automation platforms.

Strong Power BI skills (data modeling, DAX, visualization) and proficiency with SQL.

Strong experience with data management, data validation, and data reconciliation across ERP and connected systems.

Understanding of integrations (API concepts, connectors, syncs) with ability to monitor and troubleshoot.

Experience designing business workflows, mapping processes, and documenting functional/technical requirements.
