Job Title: Business Process Analyst
Job ID: 84905
Location: Calgary, Alberta

Overview:
We are supporting a large, Alberta-based organization undergoing a major modernization program. The team is looking for a senior, process-focused Business Analyst / Process Engineer to partner with business stakeholders and redesign how work gets done across multiple areas. This is a hands-on process improvement role focused on facilitation, change, and future-state design. Technology may enable the outcomes, but this role is about improving process first.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead discovery sessions and workshops to understand current processes, pain points, and constraints

  • Design future-state workflows and recommend improvements that are practical and measurable

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and decision-making across multiple business groups

  • Document process maps, requirements for change, and implementation considerations

  • Support change adoption by helping teams understand impacts, roles, and new ways of working

  • Collaborate with internal teams on rollout planning and continuous improvement

Areas of focus (examples)

  • HR processes (end-to-end lifecycle)

  • Procurement and supply chain workflows

  • Finance-related process touchpoints

  • Field/operations-facing workflows and approvals

What you must have:

  • 7+ years experience in business analysis and/or process improvement roles

  • Demonstrated experience redesigning processes (future-state), not only documenting current state

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to navigate resistance and drive alignment

  • Comfortable working as a generalist across multiple functional areas

  • Practical process improvement toolkit (Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement methods)

Nice to have:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

  • Experience in asset-intensive industries (energy, utilities, industrial, manufacturing)

  • Experience with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Signavio, ARIS)

  • Experience working with field teams / site-based workflows

Other Information:

  • Contract: 12 months (strong possibility of extension)

  • Location: Calgary, AB (primarily onsite)

  • Work model: 5 days onsite preferred (some flexibility may be available)

  • Travel: Occasional travel to local field/operational sites may be required

  • Start: ASAP

What success looks like

  • You quickly build credibility with stakeholders and drive clarity on what should change

  • You deliver actionable future-state processes and a clear path to implementation

  • Teams adopt improved workflows that reduce cycle time, rework, and friction
