Overview:
Our client is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities. Several acute care sites have already transitioned to a modernized hospital information system. With MEDITECH Expanse now live and supporting clinical workflows, documentation, and care coordination. The current focus is on upgrading the remaining acute sites to ensure consistent, high-quality care across the region. This initiative supports the adoption of common clinical standards and processes such as integrated plans of care, order sets, and clinical guidelines enabled by a shared electronic health record. The modernization effort replaces aging systems that pose operational risks and aligns with Fraser Health’s goal of achieving HIMSS Level 6 maturity. As the implementation progresses, additional features will be layered on based on the future roadmap and availability, further enhancing clinical capabilities and patient outcomes.
What you will be doing:

Develop a detailed work plan outlining how this package of work will be completed within the defined timeframe.

Utilize health information system and adult education best practices in the development of content.

Identify learning objectives and validate with clinical work streams as appropriate.

Develop asynchronous online training content for various learning audiences.

Stakeholder groups who will require focused training include, but are not limited to:
-
Nursing (e.g. inpatient nursing, outpatient/ambulatory nursing, operating room and post-anesthetic care unit nursing, etc.

Allied health professionals (e.g. physiotherapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, dietitians working in acute and ambulatory environments, etc.)

Clerks and clerical staff (e.g. staff responsible for registration and scheduling, unit clerks, receptionists, etc.)
-
Ancillary staff (e.g. pharmacists, pharmacy technologists, imaging technologists, cardiology technologists, etc.)

Focus will be on the development of e-learning modules, but may also include classroom instructor manuals, clinical training scenarios, practice session guides, presentation materials, quick reference guides, video demonstrations, simulation scripts and competency evaluation tools.

Support for e-learning content using Adobe Captivate (2019 release, 11.5.1.499).

Conduct Adobe Captivate course/content audits.

Support creation and development of refresher learning paths for all stakeholder groups.
What you must have:
Experience with:

MEDITECH® Expanse

Adobe Captivate (2019 release, 11.5.1.499)

Clinical experience, or significant in-depth experience with clinical workflows

MedPower preferred

BC Healthcare preferred
-
large organizations preferred
-
large-scale clinical transformation and/or clinical information system implementation is preferred
