What you will be doing:

  • Prepare and/or review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet & income statement analytics and fluctuation explanation

  • Prepare and/or review various reports related to the internal and external financial statements

  • Oversight and ownership of assigned key processes and related controls

  • Research and develop accounting positions for new, unusual and/or infrequent accounting events

  • Review contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatments based on US GAAP and company policies

  • Support the development and implementation of internal controls, accounting policies and processes

  • Lead elements of accounting, analysis and reporting related to other areas as assigned

  • Provide timely analysis and reporting for crisp decision making to the Executive team

  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors, as needed, regarding compliance with SOX requirements

  • Lead or participate in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as assigned

  • Identify and drive continuous process improvements for the accounting close process

 

What you must have:

  • The successful candidate must possess at minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, an advanced degree is a plus.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of recent experience with a public accounting firm, or equivalent Accounting experience in a large publicly traded company. CPA license is required.

  • Demonstrate strong US GAAP technical accounting knowledge

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with internal controls, processes, and SOX

  • Exhibit superior attention to detail and high degree of accuracy

  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines

  • Be a quick learner with the ability to grasp new systems and concepts and a problem solver with excellent analytical and organizational skills

  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with all levels of management

  • Thrive in a team-oriented environment

  • Have prior experience mentoring or leading teams

  • Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office with advanced proficiency in Excel
