What you will be doing:

Work with Enterprise Data Governance and the Data Warehouse team to plan and document the technical migration path for ETL’s. This includes critical data elements, including business use, ownership, data lineage and business rules (calculated fields).

Work closely with data analysts, report owners, data stewards, and data governance teams to help align dataset requirements.

Develop integration plans and system test plans, overseeing testing of new or modified applications and ensures data and applications meet specifications.

Work closely with other data developers, Architects, Cybersecurity, and DBAs to ensure that designs are incorporated into current Technical Specifications as required, and that those specifications are updated as changes occur.

Work with data architect to align with and maintain data models for the data warehouse.

Create ETL job design based on current and evolving infrastructure, and present for peer reviews before implementing.

Conduct testing and validation of data when ETL changes are directly or indirectly applied to data warehouses.

Participate in project planning and implementation.

Documents design, including ETL job details, and table structure changes. Ensures documentation of functions and changes to new or modified modules.

Act as a resource and subject matter expert to business partners to ensure alignment between business unit-level procedures and enterprise reporting.

Maintain positive relationships regarding UDAP matters with relevant cross-functional business partners, providing input and feedback on changing data elements and policies.

Assists in the creation and presentation of business cases.
What you must have:
-
5+ years experience coding in IDMC, for a medium or large organization, including designing, developing and implementing ETL jobs.

Experience in Informatica PowerCenter is also a strong asset.

Very strong understanding of data modeling, data profiling and data quality concepts and techniques.

Very strong understanding of database design, and data warehouse architectures.

Very strong skills with Oracle and other relational databases.

In-depth knowledge of Workday and AWS.
-
An understanding of API’s and leading data integration technologies is an asset.

AI and Python training/experience an asset.

Higher Ed experience preferred.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
