Electromechanical Supervisor

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000


Overview

Our client, a leading manufacturer of electrical test and measurement equipment, is seeking an Electromechanical Supervisor to oversee daily production and testing operations within a high-quality electrical manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for supervising technicians and assemblers, ensuring efficient workflow, accurate assembly, proper testing, safety compliance, and on-time delivery of complex electrical test instruments. The position works cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support build processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


What You Will Be Doing

  • Supervise, schedule, and develop technicians and assemblers to ensure balanced workloads and efficient production flow

  • Oversee electromechanical assembly, wiring, mechanical integration, and functional testing of electrical testing equipment

  • Ensure adherence to standardized work instructions, wiring diagrams, torque specifications, and quality standards

  • Provide hands-on technical support to resolve complex assembly or testing challenges

  • Enforce electrical and mechanical safety standards, including high-voltage testing protocols and PPE requirements

  • Support calibration, inspection, and verification processes to maintain product accuracy and reliability

  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for recurring defects

  • Collaborate with Engineering on design updates, prototype builds, and manufacturability improvements

  • Maintain accurate production records, test documentation, and quality logs

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean manufacturing, 5S, and process optimization

  • Coordinate with Production Planning to meet build schedules and delivery commitments

  • Assist in managing inventory of parts, tools, and test equipment


What You Must Have

  • 3+ years of experience in electromechanical assembly, electrical testing, or manufacturing operations

  • 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience overseeing technicians or assemblers

  • Strong understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring, mechanical assemblies, and testing procedures

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings

  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, hipot testers, insulation testers, and power supplies

  • Working knowledge of electrical safety requirements, including high-voltage environments

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field

  • Experience within electrical test equipment, instrumentation, or industrial manufacturing environments

  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies

  • Experience with ERP or MES systems

  • OSHA, IPC, NFPA 70E, or similar certifications
