Overview:
Performs all tasks related to conventional machining and CNC (computer numerical control) machining of components for aerospace or commercial products made from metallic and non-metallic materials, based on technical drawings and schematics. Manufactures the special tools required for setup and machining, and repairs worn tools. May also be required to perform production-related tasks.


What you will be doing:

• Operate and independently set up all types of conventional and CNC (computer numerical control) machines, such as grinders, lathes, milling machines, etc.

• Manufacture special tools needed for setup and machining, and repair used tools

• Perform the necessary trigonometric calculations to relate drawing data to machined geometry

• Verify machined dimensions

• Complete the required documentation

• Support research and development

• Perform any other related duties.
