What you will be doing:

  • Alberta Education is redeveloping the K–12 provincial curriculum, transitioning from print-based delivery to a modern digital platform

  • Initiative includes redesigning curriculum standards and processes to be more competency-focused and student-centered

  • New platform (LearnAlberta) will support curriculum design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement (English & French)

  • Platform will enable better access to learning resources and more flexible, personalized learning experiences for students

  • Opportunity: Full Stack Developer (contract – single resource) supporting an active agile, cloud-based development environment

  • Role involves building and maintaining the new LearnAlberta platform and related applications (front-end + back-end)

  • Focus on scalability, performance, and troubleshooting within a collaborative development team

  • Work is remote-flexible, joining a highly creative and mission-driven team in education

  • Expected commitment: ~7 hours/day, standard business schedule


What you must have:

  • Strong experience building cloud-native, serverless applications on AWS

  • Experience with microservices architecture in modern cloud environments

  • Front-end experience with Angular (v2+) and/or React

  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases

  • Experience building large-scale web-based platforms (ideally content management / digital delivery systems)

  • Familiarity with state management tools (NGXS, NGRX, Redux)

  • Comfortable working in an agile, full-stack environment
