Overview:
We are seeking a Property Accountant to join our client's growing Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reporting on the financial operations and lease activity of a portfolio of commercial properties. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and communicate financial information effectively.


What you will be doing:

• Establish and maintain lease agreements within Yardi

• Prepare monthly reporting packages for an assigned portfolio of properties

• Record cash receipts and support accounts receivable collection processes

• Assist with month end close, including accounts payable approvals, journal entries, and accruals

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts

• Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations

• Review and analyze property operating expenses to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Support property managers in the preparation of annual budgets

• Respond to and advise property managers on financial matters and inquiries

• Prepare annual recovery reconciliations

• Assist with the onboarding of new properties as required

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team

• Support audit processes and provide documentation as needed

What you must have:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial property accounting, including year end recoveries, annual budgeting, lease setup, and CAM reconciliations

• Proficiency in Yardi Voyager is required

Salary/Rate Range: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
