Key Duties:

Operational Leadership: Provide daily oversight of room assignments and staffing coordination; assist with schedule adjustments to ensure smooth lab operations during high-volume or emergency periods.

Clinical Excellence: Function as the lead specialist during complex Cath and EP lab procedures, including interventions, ablations, and device implants.

Technical Mastery: Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging and therapeutic equipment (IVUS, ICE, FFR/IFR, RF generators, and mapping systems).

Staff Development: Act as a mentor and preceptor, participating in the hiring and onboarding of new staff while delivering ongoing training to support clinical competency.

Quality & Safety: Oversee equipment maintenance, quality control checks, and radiation protection; assist with department audits and continuous quality improvement projects.

Inventory & Vendor Relations: Manage high-cost devices and procedural supplies in collaboration with Materials Management; coordinate equipment trials and staff education with vendors.

Professional Communication: Lead daily huddles and case briefings, ensuring accurate procedural documentation and revenue integrity through charge audits.
Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a certificate or degree program in health science (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Ultrasound, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, or Paramedic/EMT).

Training: Successful completion of a scrub technician training program or a hospital-based training program.

Licensure/Certification: * Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) is required.

BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) required.

Professionalism: Demonstrated clinical judgment and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desired Qualifications

Advanced Education: Bachelor of Science degree preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a scrub technician or cardiac technician is highly preferred.
