Overview:
The Quality Manager will support a Supply Chain ERP Business Platform Operations (North America) and will be part of the supply chain Digital Transformation organization, a multi-year global business transformation initiative that will modernize the end-to-end Supply Chain's digital capabilities by harmonizing disparate ecosystem of 40+ ERP systems, standardizing the core business processes across Plan, Source, Make, Quality, Deliver, and Data, and enabling a holistic operational strategy through a single SAP S/4 HANA instance. This role will help to ensure the core S/4 HANA ERP platform regional/functional support structures and processes are compliant with quality standards, optimize processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions. This role will serve as the primary platform Operate State Subject Matter Expert for the business function(s) they support within the NA region.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with system and business quality to develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures specific to the S4H Business Platform
- Facilitate conversations with cross-functional teams including SAP functional consultants, developers, and business stakeholders to define S4H issues and remediate with compliant system solutions that meet quality standard requirements
- Post-hypercare, assist sites with their implementation of SAP QM processes and SAP's Quality Management module to define ways of working and system support alignment on inspection plans, quality control activities, and quality notifications as defined by their business model
- Manage internal and external system audit request and data gathering activities, collaborating with business partners as needed
- Lead escalation discussions and collaborate with technology, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify root causes of system issues impacting QM processes and actions, along with the implementation of corrective/preventive actions
- Provide project support for SAP S/4HANA initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are embedded in system design, testing, and deployment activities
- In conjunction with the super user community, support the global platform enhancement & intake management process for system enhancements with a direct link to the overall global platform design governance model and alignment to standards for the respective functional area
- Collaborate and coordinate with business users’ standard approaches to platform regression testing and regression production readiness verification efforts within the Business Quality function
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users to ensure effective utilization of SAP for quality management purposes
- Support the deployment of the platform governance team and operating model that extends across the region
- Provide heightened level of business user support by connecting business process owners and users to relevant support structures within tech and business teams
- Collaborate with End User Enablement Manager to lead and engage Super User communities to support the Super User Certification process, foster knowledge sharing, drive continuous improvement, and ensure alignment with global platform standards across the Quality workstream
- Collaborate with Operate State Data Analytics Resources to manage KPIs and Control Tower activities within the Quality area, partnering with the business and sites to ensure visibility into performance metrics, issue resolution tracking, and proactive risk mitigation
What you must have:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in roles within Operations Quality, Supply Chain, or large ERP transformation programs
- Minimum 3 years of ERP platform support and/or transformation experience in a healthcare or health services industry
- Requires thorough knowledge of Quality Management principles; application/experience of these QM principles and processes within a SAP environment is highly preferred
- Experience with quality assurance methodologies and tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, modules, and implementation lifecycle.
- Good interpersonal and negotiating skills, with demonstrable ability to influence/collaborate across workstreams to achieve desired results required
- Experience developing, implementing, and/or supporting operational technological processes within QUALITY workstream, site or team required
- Experience managing to project timelines and landmarks in complex business environments required
- Skilled at engaging and establishing relationships with business partners required
- Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment required
- Requires up to 25% of travel
Nice to have:
- Previous experience with SAP system deployments (up to and including hyper-care activities) – particularly with QUALITY expertise is highly preferred
- Experience in effective business process integration with SAP, support or executing error handling processes, coordinating or executing testing, supporting an end user super user base is highly desirable
- Certification in areas of expertise (e.g., PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma /Process Excellence, etc.) is desirable
- SAP S/4HANA certification
