They are looking for a motivated and analytical Financial Accountant to join their Finance team in Burnaby on a permanent, full-time basis. What you will be doing:

Take ownership of the month-end close process for various global entities, including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.

Collaborate with international offices to deliver accurate management, statutory, and regulatory financial reporting.

Coordinate with external advisors to prepare and submit complex tax calculations and returns.

Facilitate the production of financial statements under frameworks such as IFRS and Japan GAAP, while managing relationships with external auditors.

Oversee the procurement and payment lifecycle to maintain rigorous internal controls and accuracy.

Support global payroll processing and the administration of profit-sharing schemes for international locations.

Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate workflows and streamline financial processes.

Provide high-level financial analysis and project support to assist with strategic business decision-making.

Act as a key finance partner to internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing vital financial insights.
What you must have:

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

At least 3 years of post-qualification experience within public accounting or a complex corporate environment.

Deep familiarity with IFRS or other sophisticated accounting frameworks.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Workday Financials or similar ERP systems is preferred.

Strong academic background with a demonstrated history of continuous professional development.

Proven expertise in financial reporting, tax, or audit.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle confidential data with the highest level of integrity.

Salary/Rate Range: $90,000 - $115,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
