Position Summary

The Echo Tech performs high-quality diagnostic echocardiographic procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist team. In this role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound technology to evaluate cardiac structure and function, helping physicians diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Stress Echo studies, and Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) according to physician orders and ASE guidelines
• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to obtain clear, diagnostic-quality cardiac images
• Utilize contrast agents including Definity and agitated saline bubble studies when appropriate
• Recognize and identify normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and pathology
• Prepare preliminary findings for Cardiologist interpretation
• Start and manage IV lines for contrast studies when appropriately trained and credentialed
• Ensure patient comfort, safety, and education throughout all procedures
• Collaborate closely with Cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate documentation within PACS and EMR systems
• Perform equipment quality checks and report any issues promptly

Qualifications

Required:
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with a focus in Cardiac Sonography
• RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Echo Tech experience

Preferred:
• 3+ years of Echo Tech experience
• Experience performing Stress Echo and TEE procedures
• Experience with contrast-enhanced echocardiography
