What you will be doing:
As an OR RN, you will play a vital role throughout the intraoperative surgical experience, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide variety of surgical populations. You will serve as a patient advocate while working alongside surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff.

Deliver exceptional perioperative nursing care during surgical procedures

Maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment

Monitor and protect patients throughout the operative experience
-
Perform surgical counts and implement patient safety protocols
-
Ensure correct patient, procedure, site, and surgical level verification
-
Administer medications safely and accurately
-
Manage specimens according to organizational policies
-
Collaborate effectively with the surgical and interdisciplinary care team

Communicate patient status throughout the continuum of care

Document care accurately and thoroughly

Support infection prevention and quality initiatives

Advocate for patient rights, dignity, privacy, and culturally competent care

Participate in on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit
What you must have:
-
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
-
Active RN license in the State of Oregon
Preferred
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)
-
Previous OR Circulator experience
-
Scrub experience
-
Peri-op 101 completion
-
CNOR certification
-
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
-
Ability to work independently while remaining adaptable in a fast-paced surgical environment

Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
