We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Polysomnography Technician to join our team. What you will be doing:
Sleep Study Operations

  • Perform comprehensive overnight polysomnography studies on adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

  • Prepare patients for testing by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the study.

  • Apply electrodes utilizing the International 10-20 System or department-approved standards.

  • Monitor and acquire physiologic data throughout the sleep study while maintaining patient safety.

  • Recognize and respond appropriately to clinical events, equipment issues, and patient needs.

Scoring & Data Analysis

  • Score and interpret sleep studies, MSLTs, and MWTs in accordance with AASM guidelines.

  • Identify and document sleep stages, respiratory events, cardiac rhythms, limb movements, and other physiological parameters.

  • Distinguish artifact from physiological data and take appropriate corrective action.

  • Complete staging and scoring accurately and within established turnaround times.

CPAP/BiPAP Therapy

  • Fit and educate patients on CPAP and BiPAP equipment.

  • Administer oxygen and positive airway pressure therapy as ordered by providers.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and perform minor maintenance as needed.

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

  • Communicate effectively with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and support staff.

  • Participate in quality improvement activities, competency assessments, and continuing education.

  • Assist with orientation and training of new staff when requested.


What you must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography Program or Respiratory Therapy Program.

  • One of the following credentials:

    • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through BRPT, or

    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS) credential.

  • Strong understanding of AASM scoring guidelines and sleep study protocols.

  • Ability to work independently during overnight shifts.


Nice to have:

  • Recent experience performing and scoring polysomnography studies.

  • Experience with CPAP/BiPAP titrations and sleep lab software systems.



Other Information:

  • Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

  • Schedule Options: Monday–Wednesday or Thursday–Saturday

  • Contract Type: Local or Travel Assignment
