Position Summary
The Application Analyst II provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for a diverse portfolio of clinical and back-office applications within a large, multi-regional healthcare system. This role is responsible for incident and problem management, application troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and ensuring optimal performance of critical business and clinical systems.
The ideal candidate will possess experience supporting third-party clinical applications (non-imaging), demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and have a solid understanding of ITIL-based service management practices. This position requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with technical teams, vendors, and end users.
Key Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for medium- to high-complexity clinical and business applications.

Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application-related incidents while ensuring timely resolution in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).

Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical application environments.

Follow ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management processes, including support for Severity 1 and Severity 2 application outages.

Coordinate issue resolution efforts and recommend preventive measures to minimize recurring incidents.

Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within ticketing and knowledge management systems, including workarounds, resolutions, and troubleshooting procedures.

Collaborate with infrastructure, network, database, and technical support teams to identify and resolve system-related issues affecting application performance.

Coordinate application updates, code changes, and issue remediation efforts with third-party vendors.

Assist in identifying root causes of application issues and contribute to long-term improvement initiatives.

Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to both internal and external users.

Share knowledge, mentor team members, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required (proof of education required upon submission).

Experience supporting third-party clinical applications within a healthcare environment (non-imaging applications preferred).

Strong understanding of application support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution methodologies.

Experience working within ITIL-based service management environments.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, collaboration tools, and enterprise application environments.

Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting enterprise healthcare applications in a multi-site healthcare system.

Experience coordinating with software vendors and managing application-related changes.

Familiarity with healthcare workflows and clinical application environments.
