The Opportunity
This is a full-time associate DVM position with a primary focus on general practice medicine. The ideal candidate will bring a confident clinical foundation, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine passion for patient care. You will work alongside a tenured support staff in a busy, well-equipped practice environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough wellness exams, sick visits, and follow-up appointments
- Diagnose and treat a broad range of small animal medical conditions
- Perform basic and routine surgical procedures, including spay/neuter and small mass removals
- Perform or assist with dental extractions and oral health procedures
- Accurately maintain medical records and client communication
- Collaborate with support staff, technicians, and fellow DVMs to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Participate in the overall culture of clinical excellence the practice is known for
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA-accredited institution
- Active veterinary license in good standing (or eligibility to obtain Georgia licensure)
- 3 or more years of clinical experience in a general practice or mixed small animal setting preferred
- Comfortable performing routine soft tissue surgery and basic dental procedures
- Strong diagnostics and treatment planning skills
- Excellent client communication and bedside manner
- Ability to work effectively within an established team environment
