What you will be doing:

Administer participant’s treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist.

Assist Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion and strength testing.

Coordinate with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on the participant’s individual treatment plans.

Handle scheduling of participants treatment, clinical visits, and billing.
-
Deliver and document Physical Therapy interventions in accordance with the Physical therapist’s established care plans including but not limited to the use of devices, techniques, activities to promote muscle re-education, perceptual-motor and cognitive function, balance and endurance, endurance and other factors affecting the level of independence in performing ADLs.

Provide training and instructions to staff, participants and caregivers/families in the use and care of therapeutic equipment.

Track and manage maintenance for equipment.

Remain alert to pertinent input from other team members, participants, and caregivers and update the Physical Therapist/IDT promptly of any changes in participants’ condition or functional status.

Participate under the supervision of Physical Therapist in end-of-life care coordination and support.

Be legally authorized to practice in position location, required.

Only act within the scope of his or her authority to practice.

Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
-
Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all company procedures and information about team members, participants, and families.

Follow company policies and procedures and participate in any required Quality Improvement activities, staff training and meetings.

Communicate regularly with Supervisor and team regarding workload and priorities.
-
Timely completion of all mandated trainings and education.
-
Timely completion of all mandated Physical health screenings as needed.

Exercises flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.

Other duties as assigned.
What you must have:
-
Minimum of two (2) years’ Physical Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
-
Physical Therapy Assistant knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
-
Highly motivated, self-directed, able to execute tasks in a quickly changing environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
-
Excellent clinical, organizational and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families and interdisciplinary team members.
-
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
-
Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
-
Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
-
Commitment to unlocking the full potential of our most vulnerable seniors.
-
Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Accredited Program.
-
The qualifying Physical Therapy Assistant Degree earned outside of the US must be evaluated to the US equivalent to a Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
Salary/Rate Range: $45.00 -$48.00/hour W2
Other Information:
-
M-F 8am -4:30pm.
-
The PTA will work under supervising physical therapist to carry over treatment intervention, as well as responsible for rehab administrated tasks with other team members including update temperature log, scheduling, update stock inventory, etc.

There will be a combination of on-site and mobile that depending on participant’s needs, but majority will be onsite.
