Overview:
Our client is seeking a board-certified physician with Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine experience to join an established outpatient wound care program in Central Illinois. This ongoing locum tenens assignment offers an excellent weekday schedule, experienced clinical support, and the opportunity to focus exclusively on outpatient wound care. Coverage is expected to begin as soon as credentialing is complete and continue until a permanent physician is hired.
Practice Highlights

• 100% outpatient practice

• Monday-Friday

• 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

• No call

• No nights

• No weekends

• EPIC EMR

• Long-term assignment

• Collaborative wound care team

• Experienced nursing and APP support

What you will be doing:
Provide comprehensive outpatient wound care, including:

• Wound evaluations and treatment planning

• Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) oversight

• Debridement procedures

• Compression therapy

• Wound VAC management

• Advanced tissue applications

• Incision and drainage

• Additional office-based wound care procedures as appropriate

Patient Volume

• Approximately 12-20 wound care patients per day

• 1-4 Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treatments daily

• Adult and geriatric patient population

What you must have:

• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or General Surgery

• Active Illinois medical license

• ACLS certification

• Wound Care experience

• Hyperbaric Medicine (HBO) training and experience

Other Information:

• Monday-Friday | No Call | 100% Outpatient
