What you will be doing:

• Conduct field inspections of earthworks, utilities (shallow and deep), road construction, asphalt, concrete, landscaping, streetlighting and related infrastructure;

• Ensure compliance with safety, construction contracts, specifications, and drawings;

• Monitor construction progress and contractor schedules;

• Disciplined approach to completing site documentation for record, including safety reporting, site diaries, daily and weekly reports, and photographs;

• Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with project leads, contractors, and team members; Work independently across multiple sites, demonstrating strong organization skills, initiative and reliability;

• Ability to work longer hours during the construction season which may include night shifts, weekends, and holidays; Utilize basic tools for field measurements and documentation of construction progress and quantities; and Uphold safety protocols and adapt to varying field conditions (weather, physical activity). During winter months you can anticipate: Supporting drafting, utilizing AutoCAD/Civil 3D software; Supporting cost estimation;

• Supporting and preparing tender documents; Receive training to round out your field experience that is company paid (AutoCAD, Safety training, role or client centric training for career growth and development in your role)

What you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Construction Inspector, field engineer or construction coordinator, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a superintendent or foreman;

• A diploma or degree in civil engineering, construction management, construction, or a related field is preferred. Those without a degree or diploma that have strong demonstrated experience and competencies (beyond minimums above) in fulfilling these roles may be considered;

• Working knowledge of construction specifications and standards

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and the ability to attend project sites.

Salary/Rate Range: $83,200.00 - $114,000.00
