Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Program Assistant Associate (MPAA) to provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This high-demand role is responsible for managing patient and legal requests for medical record reviews, maintaining accurate electronic health records, and providing administrative support to a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Schedule

  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Meal Break: 45-minute unpaid lunch from 11:45 AM – 12:30 PM


What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate and manage patient and legal requests for medical record reviews and releases.

  • Retrieve, review, redact, and prepare healthcare records in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

  • Facilitate the timely release of medical records to authorized individuals and entities.

  • Process a high volume of record requests, averaging 30 or more requests per month, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Scan and upload medical documentation into the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring records are complete and accurately filed.

  • Provide administrative support to approximately 10 healthcare providers, assisting with daily operational and clerical needs.

  • Perform a variety of additional administrative duties, including document preparation, data entry, scheduling support, correspondence, and record maintenance.

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and comply with all applicable privacy regulations.

  • Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient service.


What you must have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical office or administrative training preferred.

  • Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or medical records department preferred.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical terminology is preferred.

  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
